Oh my god that's some funky shit! The whole movie is shot from a camcorder perspective, Ala 'Blair Witch' and the infinitely better 'REC'. But where as those two movies are very low budget affairs, this is a full on SFX bonanza. The amount of thought needed to make a movie like this is just incredible, and it works. Plenty of rewatchability to see what you missed. Take the head of the Statue of Liberty and you are on to a winner.Wednesday 8 April 2009

Great, under-rated movie. It takes the big-monster-stomping-the-city movie and reinvents it. It's exciting. It's character based. It's technically outstanding.
Gotta love that monster too.
