Great Film!!! Comes off as a bit of a poor mans Goodfellas at times to me, but then this is probably to do with the music cues and maybe because of the Directors style. Hardly gonna slag off Scorcese though am I?????? Yeah. Oooooooh the undercover cop is going deep deep deep undercover. Oh god!!! He fell off the roof! No surprises are there Hollywood as anyone worth their salt had seen the original. Maybe not a reason to judge a movie but then remake it after 20 years to give us time to forget. At least Marky Mark rocks in his role as foul mouthed Copper though.

Bourne Supremacy - The best use of a magazine since Alien
Bourne is back. And in a unusual twist for sequels, it's even better than the first. Still roaming the gritty grey rainy world of Europe, still driving like a loon and still staying one clever ass bastard step ahead of his makers. Wow wow wow and more of the legend that is Cox too!!!!!! I await the Bourne Vs Bond comic strip.Tuesday, 5 May 2009
Bourne Identity - Don't make me angry, I don't know why I'm doing what I'm doing when I'm angry
The film that spawned a thousand sequels. Well I think it did. Much like The Matrix inspired numerous scifi/fighting actioners (from the West anyway, Our Eastern friends were doing it for years) this one reinvented the Spy Thriller. Even James Bond sat up and took note. The story isn't entirely original, but then the book it comes from must be about 30 years old, so who knows. But ever since this film, fight editing has got quick and in your face and the hand held camera is king!!! The best bit is the sequels are even better.Wednesday, 8 April 2009

Ocean's Thirteen - Vegas Two Times
The boys are back in Vegas after their Euro trip. Soderburgh tries to recapture the original feel, but he's on a hiding to nothing. They say to 'never go back' and they say it for a reason. Still looks great and plays great and if that's what you like about the Danny Ocean capers then this won't disappoint. And give it a bit of respect in the fact that it doesn't hide it's origins or intentions. I for one love seeing this cast in action and is a shame we probably wont see anymore. No Julia Roberts I can cope with, but no Bernie Mac. No way.Sunday, 21 December 2008
Ocean's Eleven - The Beautiful people, the Beautiful people
Had to give myself the pleasure of watching this great movie once again.....in HD. It really is a beautiful piece. Plays well, sounds great and looks fabulous. George Clooney is an actor I like to watch, he oozes charisma and is a marker for all men trying to impress the ladies. That is ladies, not skanks. But the boy George aside, all of the cast are having a whale of a time in this and they are fantastic. Even the horrible Julia Roberts doesn't do too bad and I despise her normally. It all being set against the back drop of Las Vegas helps as well. Aaah The Bellagio, Ceasars Palace, The MGM Grand, such amazing places. I will go back and take some great photos next time. I digress, the story is great as well, with a few little twists and turns. Very much like 'Sneakers' which was another great little ensemble cast affair. Don Cheadles accent was a bit Dot Cotton though.
